1. Juli, 14:00: Webinar “Access to medicines: Why should feminists care?”
📣Last but not least:
We are wrapping up our webinar series “Gender and Health” with our last session on Friday, the 1st of July at 2 pm CEST! LINK IN BIO
In the webinar •Access to Medicines: Why Should Feminists Care?• Dr. Gita Sen and Chee Yoke Ling will explore the intersection of gender and access to medicines and how these two interact.
💡
They will discuss obstacles to access to medicines in general, and in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, shedding light on structural inequalities and gender issues. Where do the so-called intellectual property rights come into this and what does this have to do with health as a human right?
♦️
Our two speakers work with the campaign Feminists for a People's Vaccine (FPV) (https://feminists4peoplesvaccine.org/), for equitable, accessible, and affordable COVID-19 vaccines, drugs, therapeutics, and equipment. The campaign is set up by the two organizations Development Alternatives with Women for a New Era (DAWN) and Third World Network (TWN).
